If it were a perfect world, I would’ve just purchased one of these beauties, but since the majority of my income goes right back into One Good Bumblebee, I have to be extra thrifty and, happily, crafty. So instead of spending $449 (think of all the fun products I could buy with that!) I spent $35 on a plastic deer head, smacked on some white acrylic paint and voila! Not that it takes serious creativity to do such a thing, but for the money I saved, I think it’s pretty exciting. Plus, any chance I get to make something, I jump on it. Flower, however, was not happy about my painting the deer, for when it was realistic-looking and brown, she thought it was a real animal. She got so excited at it and wagged her butt and jumped on it, etc. The poor thing didn’t even realize that it was missing it’s entire body. Oh Flower! So you’re probably thinking “Why didn’t you just get one of these?” Well, I would have, but it’s a bit smaller than what I wanted, plus I wouldn’t have had to paint it. Where’s the fun in that, dear friends?

Flower would like you all to know that she’s feeling much better.

Real conversation between my boyfriend, Zeb, and I this morning:

Me: Flower hates her adult food! I mixed the adult and puppy food together on her plate and she only eats the puppy food and leaves the rest. She’d starve before eating the big girl food. Flower does not want to grow up.

Zeb: Speaking of not growing up, Halo 3 comes out today.

I recently bought a HUGE collection of old paper dolls, which were obviously very well loved and used. There were even some hand-drawn clothes and accessories. And I found this little note hidden among them. Love.

Is it bad that I’m so very excited about my new stapler? I’ve been using some ridiculous plastic thing that never stapled correctly for the past 2 years, so I finally broke down and got myself a new shiny Swingline. I must say, I’ve never had so much fun stapling things. I never knew a stapler could staple so well…not to mention, look so good. Is it just me?
